IIT Madras will begin its orientation programme on July 25, 2026, with sessions for newly admitted undergraduate students in the morning and parents in the afternoon. Families can also visit departments between 5 pm and 7 pm the same day. The institute has also planned a five-day immersion programme from July 25 to July 29, ahead of regular classes starting on July 30, 2026.
