US-Iran War Live Updates: Explosions Reported in Iran’s Mahshahr

A fresh wave of US air strikes has hit multiple locations across Iran, with explosions reported in Bushehr, Tabriz, Hamadan Province and the southeastern port cities of Konarak and Chabahar, as the conflict entered another night of intense military exchanges.

According to Iranian officials, at least two explosions were heard in the Persian Gulf city of Bushehr, home to Iran’s only operational nuclear power plant. No damage has been reported to the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, but the strikes have heightened concerns after another under-construction nuclear facility in Darkhovin was reportedly targeted earlier in the conflict.

Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the country’s joint military command, warned that any attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities would broaden the scope of the war, signalling the possibility of further escalation if strategic nuclear infrastructure continues to be targeted.

Elsewhere, authorities in Tabriz said a military site was struck, though no casualties were immediately reported. Additional air strikes were also reported in Kabudarahang in Hamadan Province, while the southeastern port cities of Konarak and Chabahar in Sistan and Baluchestan Province were targeted for another consecutive night. Both cities are strategically important for Iran’s military logistics and maritime access to the Gulf of Oman.
