For the first time in FIFA’s history, members of the victorious Spanish team and coaching staff have been awarded bespoke World Cup championship rings. Fans are also getting the chance to own these rings, with 1,996 available for sale at $12,000 each. This marks the first time in FIFA’s 96-year history that championship rings have been offered to supporters. For the unversed, championship rings are commemorative pieces of jewellery awarded to players and coaching staff to celebrate their team’s victory in a league or tournament championship.
