After the box office failure of Sikandar, Salman Khan shifted his focus to his next big project, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film was originally titled Battle of Galwan and was based on the 2020 India-China border clash. The film was initially scheduled for an April 2026 release. However, reports claimed that the movie ran into trouble with government authorities, leading the makers to make several changes.The first major change was the title. Battle of Galwan was renamed Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace.
