Iran US Israel War Live Updates: US Bombs Iran For Ninth Consecutive Night

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed it targeted two oil tankers attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz, while warning that additional “punitive operations” against the United States would follow, according to Iran’s state-affiliated Tasnim news agency.

The IRGC said the tankers were struck as they attempted to pass through the strategically vital waterway, which has become the focal point of the escalating US-Iran confrontation. The Guard did not identify the vessels, disclose the weapons allegedly used or provide details on any damage or casualties. The claims have not been independently verified, and there has been no immediate confirmation from the United States, regional authorities or maritime agencies.

In the same statement, the IRGC warned that its retaliatory campaign against the United States would continue, threatening further “punitive operations” in response to Washington’s ongoing military strikes on Iranian territory. The warning comes after multiple days of Iranian claims of missile and drone attacks targeting US military facilities across Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Syria and Oman.
