The three-match series between the two teams is tied 1-1 and the winning team at Lord’s will clinch the series 2-1. The Indian and England players were spotted wearing black armbands as they entered the field. The players and officials are wearing the black armbands to pay tribute to West Indies legend Gary Sobers, who died on Friday (July 17). “TeamIndia is wearing black armbands to pay tribute to West Indies legend Sir Garfield Sobers following his passing on Friday,” the BCCI wrote on X. The players also observed a one-minute silence for Sobers before the start of the play.
