In a bizarre incident from Rajasthan, major panic broke out in the Coral Park area of Borkheda in Kota– after a crocodile ended up entering the mess of a hostel. The shocking incident was captured on a CCTV camera that was installed inside the facility. The footage showed hostel cooks calmly making ‘chapati’, only to turn towards the kitchen door and spot the reptile casually heading into the kitchen. As soon as the cooks spotted the crocodile, panic naturally took over, resulting in them rushing away from the area to safety.
Reportedly, the coaching students rushed to the spot after hearing the commotion. Some even tried to catch the reptile, but failed. As per the CCTV data, the incident unfolded on Friday, July 17, at around 1 PM.
Later, receiving information about the incident, a rescue team from the Forest Department arrived at the location, and after considerable efforts, the team was able to safely capture the crocodile.
According to preliminary information, the crocodile is believed to have entered the hostel premises from a nearby drainage channel flowing alongside the property. Fortunately enough, no injuries or casualties were reported.
Following the incident, fear spread across the locality. The Forest Department has urged residents to remain cautious around water bodies and drainage channels to avoid such encounters.
