RBI Governor Flags Two Big Inflation Risks; One Could Hit Every Household Soon

India continues to face inflationary pressures, with geopolitical developments in the Middle East and the possibility of an inadequate monsoon posing significant risks to price stability, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra has said. Speaking to Doordarshan on Friday, Malhotra noted that inflationary trends remain a concern even as the country’s broader economic fundamentals stay resilient. He explained that the recent rise in prices has primarily been influenced by supply-side disruptions rather than a surge in demand.
