Delhi recorded its hottest day of July in nearly two years on Thursday, as the maximum temperature soared to 39.2 degrees Celsius amid persistent hot and humid weather and the absence of significant rainfall. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Safdarjung, the city’s primary weather station, recorded a maximum temperature of 39.2 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal, while the minimum settled at 30.2 degrees Celsius, 3.2 degrees above the seasonal average.
