UGC-NET 2026: Important Details
The University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) was conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Additionally, the June 22 exam was cancelled at a Jalandhar centre due to technical difficulties. NTA further conducted the exam for the Jalandhar centre on July 5, 2026.
UGC-NET 2026: Provisional Answer Key
The provisional answer key of UGC-NET 2026 is expected to be released this week on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Once released, the candidates can download and match their answers.
UGC-NET 2026: Objection Window
In cases where candidates are not satisfied with the answer key or find discrepancies in questions or answers, they can raise objections against the provisional answer key and pay a certain amount within the specified timeline. The objection window will be made available after the provisional answer key is released.
UGC-NET 2026: Recorded Response Sheet

The question paper consists of two parts, where part 1 has 50 questions of a total of 100 marks, while part 2 has 100 questions of a total of 200 marks. For every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded two marks. There is no negative marking.
