DHanush is all set to play Lord Murugan in Thamizh Murugan with director Vetrimaaran, marking his fifth collaboration with him. Officially announced, the film is based on a book by writer Arivumathi that explores the history of the ancient Tamil deity Murugan through the lens of Sangam literature.​
