FIFA World Cup 2026: Erling Haaland Speaks Out Against VAR, Supports Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe was the star of the show as France defeated Morocco by a margin of 2-0 to become the first team to reach the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup 2026. He slammed a goal and an assist, thus being involved in both French goals. However, he had a shocking start to the game, as he missed a penalty in the 25th minute. However, the refereeing here has too come under scrutiny, as Mbappe was made to wait for a long time as VAR checked the validity of the foul by Noussair Mazraoui in the box. Many have blamed this lapse as the reason behind Mbappe’s miss. Even Erling Haaland has now come to the French striker’s defence.
