It isn’t over. The IMD has Delhi under a red nowcast alert for very heavy rain, thunder, lightning and winds up to 60 kmph, and expects more through the evening. Out to July 10, it sees widespread rain over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and west Uttar Pradesh. East NCR looks likely to take the brunt. Skymet, a private forecaster, says Ghaziabad, Noida, East Delhi, Baghpat and Meerut could see anywhere from 180 to 250 mm in the next 24 hours.
