According to the state government, a total of 219 vehicles across different categories have been procured under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs’ police modernisation scheme. While some vehicles are yet to be delivered, every police station in Mizoram, total 44, will receive at least one new vehicle. 15 police outposts will also benefit through the reallocation of vehicles, while battalions, specialised units and police training schools will receive new additions to strengthen their operational capabilities.
