There’s no denying the fact that for the longest time, Taylor was the queen of heartbreak, embracing the tag wholeheartedly, using her pain over one soured relationship after the next to create music which genuinely resonated with millions across the globe. Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Folklore, Midnights and even something as recent as the The Tortured Poets Department (2024) are full of heartbreak anthems – some arrogant, some whiny, some goosebump raising, and some just accepting everything for what it is. A lot of them are full-on bangers too – range has never, ever been a problem for Taylor.
