indian crowd loses it over parval on sale for usd 1 at new jersey store in us video viral

It seemingly simply took a ‘Parval sale’ to leave Indians in New Jersey acting all ‘wild’, to the point that a video of them is now going viral on social media- for not-so-good reasons. The video was shared online, which showed the crowd losing it and crowding over the vegetable aisle. From people snatching trollies to carts to them pushing each other to get their hands on the store items– the clip looked extremely chaotic and even questioned the crowd’s patience. Reportedly, the incident unfolded at a newly opened Indian store, which was selling ‘Parval (pointed gourd)’ for just USD 1.99 (Rs 190).

The video immediately went viral and began to get compared with scenarios that mostly unfold during Black Friday sales. Many also questioned the customers’ ‘civic sense’, while others called it the effect of ‘capitalism’.

Times Now could not confirm the details of the post.

Check out the viral post:

“This Indian store had a grand opening in New Jersey and put parvals on sale for 1.99 and it turned into a battle. Be honest, Jersey, is this actually normal?” the post read.

The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘jammles9’. The post was shared 3 days ago and pulled over 1K views from people.

Internet’s reactions:

“Only normal on Black Friday. Honestly, this doesn’t bother me; it’s capitalism and those people aren’t stealing the stuff. If they want to waste time fighting over it, who cares? As long as my tax dollars aren’t involved, I don’t care,” a user said.

“It’s the new normal. We’ll overcome or adjust. Hopefully we’ll overcome one day, when we cure suicidal empathy,” added another person. “I thought it was in my country. We also do such stuff, and this is surely sad. People should always keep in mind some manners. However, the store also knows exactly what it is doing,” another read.
