CNN reported that tens of thousands of mourners, dressed largely in black, gathered at the Musalla mosque complex, where the coffins of Khamenei and relatives killed alongside him were placed. “I even loved him more than my father. It’s as if I lost my father again,” 30-year-old Nafiseh Sadat Sadri told CNN. “I feel that I’ve become an orphan, it burns in my heart.”
