Mumbai has experienced significant rainfall, with over 100 mm recorded in various parts of the city within a 24-hour period, leading to widespread waterlogging and delays in local train services. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the eastern suburbs received an average of 109 mm of rain, while the western suburbs and island city recorded 87 mm and 86 mm, respectively.
