Russian urban climbers Angela Nikolau and Ivan Beerkus have identified themselves as the pair who scaled the antenna of New York City’s Empire State Building before becoming engaged during the descent. The couple, both dressed in black, climbed to the top of the landmark’s 1,454-foot spire on Wednesday, where they unfurled a banner reading: “When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”
