Fresh tensions have erupted along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border after Pakistan carried out overnight air and ground operations inside eastern Afghanistan, claiming it had destroyed militant infrastructure linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar. Kabul, however, has accused Islamabad of killing dozens of civilians, including women and children, and alleged that a second strike deliberately targeted villagers who had rushed to rescue the wounded.
