According to district officials, the students began complaining of stomach pain, vomiting, dizziness and weakness soon after consuming the water. While most of the girls were discharged after treatment, a few remained under medical observation. Authorities have suspended the school warden, a teacher and a cook following a preliminary inquiry, while food and water samples have been sent to a laboratory to determine the exact cause of the illness.
