Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has started the admission process for its newly introduced MSc in Life Sciences programme for the 2026-27 academic session. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the university’s admission portal by July 10.

The postgraduate programme has been launched under the framework of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and is aimed at providing interdisciplinary training in modern biological sciences. Admissions will be based on candidates’ CUET PG 2026 scores.

The programme has been designed for students interested in advanced studies and research in life sciences, with a curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge, practical laboratory training and emerging technologies in biology.

Eligibility, admission process

Candidates seeking admission must have appeared for the CUET PG 2026 examination and meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by BHU. Applicants are required to register and complete the application process through the university’s official admission portal before the deadline.

According to the university, the programme is open to graduates from relevant life science disciplines. The final selection of candidates will be carried out on the basis of CUET PG scores and other admission guidelines issued by the university.

Students are advised to carefully read the admission brochure, verify their eligibility and upload the required documents while filling out the application form. Any incomplete or incorrect application may be rejected during the verification process.

Focus on research and emerging technologies

The newly launched MSc in Life Sciences has been structured to equip students with multidisciplinary knowledge and research skills in areas such as molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics and artificial intelligence applications in biological sciences.
