Millie Bobby Brown admitted that the transition was far more difficult than she had thought it would be. The actress, who was just 10 years old when she was cast as Eleven, said the end of the series marked the closing of a chapter that had defined most of her life. “I started the show when I was 10, and this character was me,” Brown shared, explaining how deeply intertwined her identity had become with Eleven and the world of Stranger Things. The actress also recalled, “I went into a little bit of a slight, slight depression,” adding, “It was very hard for me. I would not have expected that coming off of the show. I’m a very happy-go-lucky person.”
