Words like ‘divine’ and ‘miraculous’ often cross the mind when it comes to the much-hailed Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha. From its Patitapaban Bana, or Dhwaja, allegedly flying in the opposite direction of the wind to the Jagannath chariot allegedly ‘making deliberate stops’ for its devotees during the annual Rath Ratra– you name it, and the temple and its devotees have witnessed all sorts of stories and beliefs that are often considered ‘holy’ and ‘magical’. With that said, it surely was not a surprise when the temple saw yet another ‘divine’ illusion just recently, which was quick to leave many mesmerised. A breathtaking video was shared on social media, which showed the Sun aligned with the top of the temple in such a manner that it was resembling a ‘crown jewel’ lighting up the temple top. As if the moment was not beautiful enough, the wavering flags around and on top of the said ‘Sun jewel’ further turned the entire thing into a rare treat to the eye.
