On eviction drives, the AIUDF chief maintained that while lawful action is acceptable, due process must be strictly followed. He stressed that authorities must clearly identify individuals as illegal immigrants (Bangladeshi / Miya)with proof before initiating action. He called for notices, FIRs, and adequate time for affected people, along with proper rehabilitation measures. “Sudden evictions are destroying lives, impacting children’s education and people’s livelihoods,” Ajmal said.
