Being the origin country– it makes sense that India celebrated the International Yoga Day 2026 in the most unique manner! A video was shared on social media, which showed several forest rangers doing Yoga in a forest area– with giant elephants standing not so far from them! The majestic moment was shared by IFS Parveen Kaswan, as he hailed the “harmony” between “nature and legacy of generations” that was being displayed in the video. The video was from the Jaldapara National Park in West Bengal, which showed the ‘gentle giants’ calmly standing on a shallow river that was flowing right beside the rangers doing Yoga. The elephants also had rangers sitting on them- hinting that the animals felt safe enough not to feel threatened. “Somewhere in the remote corners of the country. A harmony with nature and legacy of generations,” the post read. The video quickly went viral and garnered praise. Many also loved the animal and human bond that was being reflected in the clip. The International Yoga Day is observed every year on June 21 across the globe. The day aims to raise awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga.
