According to investigators, he had voluntarily left his home on the night of June 11, parked his scooter near Platinum Point in Surat, travelled to the railway station by rickshaw and boarded a train to Ujjain. While travelling, he used his own mobile phone to send ransom messages to his wife, claiming he had been kidnapped.
