A fast-moving wildfire has burned hundreds of acres in Spokane, Washington, prompting the evacuation of nearly 12,000 residents as firefighters battle to contain the blaze. The fire broke out on Beacon Hill at about 12:30 local time on Tuesday after reports of smoke, according to the Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
