The news of Sanchita Ugale’s death left the television industry in shock. The actress, who rose to fame with Kumkum Bhagya, passed away on June 14. She died by suicide at the age of 22. After her tragic demise, Sanchita‘s father, Machhindra Ugale, told a publication that his daughter often appeared upset. He even claimed that the 22-year-old was tortured and would slip into depression, even though she looked fine. Now, in an interview, Sanchita’s uncle has opened up about his niece’s untimely demise. In an interview with TellyMasala, Sanchita’s uncle was asked if the actress had been suffering from any problem. To this, he said, “Usko dekh ke nahi lagta tha ki vo pareshan hai. Na hi kabhi bataya (hume) ki vo pareshan hai. Pucha bhi nahi unko. Pareshan toh lagti hi nahi thi. Kaam se aati thi toh lagta tha kaam ke baad vo thakan thodi si hogi unko. But aisa problem nahi laga uska.”
(Loose translation – No, it didn’t look like she was suffering from any problem. We were never told about that and we never asked her. When she used to come from work, she used to look like she was a little tired after work. But she didn’t have any problem as such.)
Sanchita Ugale’s rakhi brother mourns her death
Meanwhile, Sarwam Kulkarni, who started his career with Sanchita, penned an emotional note and mourned his rakhi sister’s death. Taking to his Instagram handle, the Yeh Meri Family season 4 actor remembered the Kumkum Bhagya actress as someone who worked hard. He admitted admiring her dedication, strength and the way she worked hard for everything she achieved.
The actor went down memory lane, recalling the first time Sanchita had visited the set of his project. He revealed that the late actress was happy and proud of him. It is a memory Sarwam will carry forever. “You believed in me, celebrated every small win, and shared in every moment of the journey,” he mentioned in the note

On the work front, Sanchita was associated with televisions shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Wagle Ki Duniya and Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi. She also worked in Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava, which featured Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. She essayed the younger version of Tara Rani in the show. Apart from that, she did Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout.
