Speaking at a late-night press conference, Netanyahu vowed that Iran would never be permitted to obtain atomic weapons, regardless of the outcome of ongoing negotiations between Tehran and the United States.
“With an agreement, without an agreement – Iran will not have nuclear weapons. Not today, and not tomorrow. As long as I am Prime Minister of Israel – this will not happen,” he said.
Netanyahu outlined what he described as the achievements of the campaign, claiming Israeli forces had eliminated nuclear scientists, targeted senior Iranian leaders, damaged nuclear facilities, destroyed missile stockpiles and production sites, and inflicted severe economic losses on Iran.
The Israeli leader argued that without military action, Iran would already possess nuclear weapons, placing millions of Israelis at risk. He also claimed Israel had significantly degraded Iranian-aligned groups across the region, including in Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.
Netanyahu further stated that Israeli forces would continue to maintain security zones established during the conflict in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria for as long as necessary to protect Israel’s security interests.
