Russia launched a major overnight air attack on Kyiv early on Monday, injuring at least 13 people, damaging critical infrastructure and setting fire to the historic Kyiv Pechersk Lavra monastery, Ukrainian officials said. The monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Ukraine’s most significant religious and cultural landmarks, was seriously damaged in what authorities described as a direct strike.
