American Woman Gets Medicine Worth Rs 86,000 In US For Rs 2,150 In India

Imagine paying Rs 86,000 for a medicine that can be bought for Rs 2,150– but across the ocean. Taking to social media, an American woman shared her frustration as she compared the US healthcare system with the Indian healthcare system. Calling the US’s healthcare a “joke”, the woman claimed that the medicine that she was getting for USD 1000 (approximately Rs 86,000) in her country, cost only USD 25 (Rs 2,150) to her after she instead ordered it from India. What was further surprising was that the pack of just 6 pills that was for almost Rs 1 lakh in the US, cost her a little over Rs 2,000, even including the shipping charge. Allegedly, the medicine itself was just USD 10, while the shipping charge was USD 15. The difference was quick to leave her criticizing her nation’s health care, as she called it a “scam”. The video was quick to go viral, drawing all kinds of reactions. “Girl, what? I got it for 1/40th of the cost,” the post read.
