A US Navy fighter jet has crashed near Rimrock Lake in Washington state, triggering evacuations, road closures and a wildfire response in the surrounding forest area. Officials said the aircraft, an F/A-18 Hornet based out of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, experienced what was described as a “nonfatal mishap” during training around midday on Saturday.
