FIR Filed Against Mamata Banerjee Over 'Inflammatory' Remarks

The speech in question was made in March from a protest stage in Kolkata, where Banerjee allegedly warned that if a particular community united, it could have serious consequences for others. A businessman subsequently lodged a complaint, alleging that the remarks could incite communal tensions. Based on the complaint, police registered a case under non-bailable provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
