The accused allegedly travelled nearly 1,400 kilometres from West Bengal to Delhi, checked into a guest house using fake Aadhaar cards and stayed there for several days before the crime. CCTV footage showed the family entering the apartment complex wearing surgical masks. After the murder, they returned to the guest house and later boarded a train back to West Bengal.
