Responding to the allegations, Shivakumar said, “Let the investigation be done on this. Leave 36,000 crore even if there’s 100 crore misuse of money, let them investigate. I am ready. They cannot digest the fact that I’ve become the Chief Minister. I know what is happening in their party, they have pressure and they are speaking. Their own MLAs told me that they(BJP) didn’t let anyone give tender, they went to court and the court gave orders to give tender. They are doing politics, they are not able to tolerate our work, our style of functioning and our transparency.”
