The ruling INDIA bloc has 56 MLAs in the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly, while each candidate requires 28 first-preference votes to secure victory. The BJP has 21 MLAs, along with one MLA each from the JD(U), LJP (Ram Vilas), and AJSU Party, taking the NDA tally to 24. The Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha has one MLA.
