“I won’t unfreeze assets in advance and I won’t lift sanctions as part of any deal,” Trump said in an interview with NBC News’ “Meet the Press”. When pressed on whether the assets could be released at a later stage, he added, “That will come later, yes. If they behave nicely and do a good job, we’ll start talking.”
