Marathi actress Sushma Murudkar is currently making headlines with her shocking statement about a treatment to her on the sets of a Hindi show, Kundali Bhagya. In a recent interview, she confessed to being insulted by the Kundali Bhagya director on the set over her ‘Gavthi Marathi’ accent. Sushma is currently seen in a Marathi show, Kamali. She played an important role in Kundali Bhagya. During the shooting, the director of the Zee TV show shouted at her and asked her not to speak Hindi dialogues in a Marathi accent. Sushma revealed that she was insulted in front of 200 people on the set.

Like Marathi actresses like Swati Chitnis, Manasi Salvi, Abhidnya Bhave, Prarthana Behere and others, Sushma Murudkar also played roles in several Hindi shows. However, she has once faced anger from the director of Kundali Bhagya over her accident.

In an interview with Rajshri Marathi, Sushma Murudkar said that she has once faced a difficulty while working on a Hindi show, Kundali Bhagya. She revealed the director was sitting very far, and there were around 200 people present on the set. While performing a scene, she mixed Hindi and Marathi.

At that time, the director loudly shouted at her and said, “Aapka gavthi Marathi nahi chalega. Ekdum barabar Hindi boliye.” (Your village-type Marathi will not work. Speak Hindi properly). Sushma Murudkar bore the insult and told him just ‘okay’. After that, she gave a perfect shot.

Sushma Murudkar confessed that Marathi actors face accent issues while working in Hindi shows or movies. She further admitted that her Hindi has improved a lot but the Marathi-speaking skills have become weak.

Sushma revealed that when she came back to work in Marathi shows, she was told that she could do the role of a person with speaking disability since she couldn’t speak Marathi properly. At that time, the actress didn’t lose hope and constantly said, “I am the best.” She motivated herself and worked on her language. The whole incident taught Sushma Murudkar the importance of every language, as the artist has to speak the regional languages properly if they want to work on camera.
