French Open: World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka Knocked Out, First-Time Winner Assured In Both Men And Women's Singles

The four-time Grand Slam winner’s exit means there is no former major winner left in the women’s singles draw. Sabalenka’s wait for a first-ever French Open title will also have to wait another year. Among former Grand Slam winners, Iga Swiatek was knocked out in the fourth round while defending champion Coco Gauff lost in the third round. Elena Rybakina and Madison Keys were knocked out in the second and fourth rounds, respectively. Naomi Osaka also lost in the Round of 16, while Emma Raducanu went out in the first round.
