The joint operation involving the Crime Branch, SOG, and local police was carried out in areas including Chandola, Gulabnagar, Danilimda, Vatva, Ramol, Odhav, Nikol, and Naroda. Police sources said that after previous crackdowns in the Chandola area, many suspected illegal immigrants had dispersed across the city and were allegedly living under altered identities in rented houses, slum settlements, worker accommodations, hotels, and commercial establishments.
