Only two Pakistani captains, who are both considered to be among the best fast bowlers in history, had accomplished the feat before Shaheen. The first was Wasim Akram, who gave Pakistan a fantastic start in December 1993 when he dismissed Andy Flower with the opening delivery against Zimbabwe in Karachi. Waqar Younis was the next captain to follow suit.
