Meanwhile, Rahul Singh has now ben transferred to the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, where he will be serving as the Additional Secretary. Singh has previously served as Former Additional Secretary, DoPT and held key roles as DM, Collector, Transport Commissioner, MD, Joint Secretary. He pursued BTech (Computer Science), PG in Public Policy & Management. Singh was appointed CBSE Chairperson on March 13, 2024 succeeding Nidhi Chhibber, an appointment that was cleared by Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). His tenure was extended by ACC in August 2025 till November 11, 2027.
