Ahead of assembly polls in several states, BJP president Nitin Nabin on Monday held a meeting with party’s senior office bearers and leaders to discuss its further expansion in the country. The meeting, which lasted for more than five hours at the BJP office here, discussed bringing more youth into the party fold. It also discussed party’s plans for expanding its reach to women, Dalits, tribals and other sections of society across the country.

Speaking to reporters, BJP MP and national spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “A long meeting of senior party workers was held today. The meeting was presided over by BJP national president Nitin Nabin.”

While India is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party has grown stronger and expanded its footprints across the country under his leadership, Patra said.

Under the leadership of PM Modi, the BJP-NDA has got also opportunity to “serve the people through its government in 22 states”, he said, adding that party’s further expansion was the prime agenda of the meeting.

The brainstorming session at the BJP office assumes significance as the party has already kicked off its preparations for the assembly polls in seven states due to be held next year.

Assembly polls in Goa, Gujarat, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are due to be held in 2027. Except Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, the BJP is in power in the remaining five states.

Patra said the meeting underlined the importance of getting continuous feedback from the party workers for further expansion of the organisation across the country.
