ICE Protests: First Win for Demonstrators as Family Visits Resume At Newark Detention Centre

After days of protests, arrests and increasingly tense confrontations outside a New Jersey immigration detention centre, family visitation is set to resume at the facility. Governor Mikie Sherrill announced on Sunday that relatives of detainees held at Delaney Hall in Newark will once again be allowed to visit, ending a suspension that became a major point of contention between immigration advocates and federal authorities.
