Police sources said many of those present in the area were preparing for competitive examinations, including the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) Examination. The Saket-Saidulajab area is known for its concentration of coaching institutes, libraries, hostels and eateries catering to students preparing for FMG, NEET, GATE and other examinations.
