The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken suo motu cognisance of media reports concerning an explosion at a chemical factory in Haryana’s Rewari district that left one worker dead and several injured. The incident occurred on May 19 while repair work was reportedly underway at the factory’s chilling plant, triggering an explosion and subsequent fire.
