The Iran War Is Not Restarting: Trump Cannot Afford It

The Iranian Foreign Minister told me last week that Tehran would accept upto 20% enrichment, which is all that is required for civilian nuclear purposes. And that Tehran could accept a heavily monitored civilian enrichment program capped at 20% enrichment, with intrusive international inspections by the IAEA and automatic snapback sanctions. He also said that the previous Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had issued a fatwa barring Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, which is un-Islamic. The new Supreme leader, his son, is unlikely to go against his late father, in this regard.
