Tata Board Meeting Today: Discussions on Loss-Making Firms Likely

Noel Tata, the half-brother of late industrialist Ratan Tata, serves as the Chairman of Tata Trusts since October 2024. Tata Trusts owns nearly 66% of Tata Sons and can nominate one-third of the company’s board members, giving it significant influence over major decisions. However, there have been reports suggesting differences within Tata Trusts, especially regarding whether Tata Sons should remain privately held or go public. While this has been a prominent concern, experts believe Noel Tata has been in favour of keeping Tata Sons unlisted.
