However, amid all the speculations, the metro authorities finally issued a statement, clarifying on the matter. According to an official statement issued by Senior Public Relations Officer for Pune Metro, Chandrashekhar Tambwekar, the incident was caused due to a technical issue with the AC. The incident happened on Thursday, May 21, at around 6:40 PM, on the Train Set-5 while it was at the Ramwadi Metro Station, as per Republic World.
